Hi! I’m Kristen Steffes, founder of Balanced Bookkeeping Solutions. I am a proud Air Force wife and mother of three beautiful daughters! Having a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, I have always had a love of numbers and a passion for bookkeeping. When I began my career, I wanted to be a forensic accountant so I could combine my love of numbers with my ability to find and correct errors. When my husband and I decided to start a family, my career goals were put on hold as we decided I would stay at home with our daughters. With my girls all being in school, it was time for me to make new career goals. I wanted to help others with their accounting needs while maintaining a flexible schedule to achieve a necessary work-life balance. The solution was all too clear: I started a bookkeeping business! I wanted to address the growing need for accurate financial management among small businesses. Many entrepreneurs struggle with the complexities of maintaining their financial records, which can hinder their ability to make informed decisions. That is where I come in!
